My background and experience

I have a degree in Education and English (Hons) a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and 15 years' experience in education. I subsequently trained and graduated with an Advanced Post Graduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling from wpf Kensington in 2003, a rigorous 4 year academic and clinical training. Alongside setting up in private practice, I worked as a secondary school counsellor and was coordinator for a young person`s counselling organisation in Chelsea. I was employed as a staff counsellor and assessor at wpf Kensington and went on to coordinate wpf's Carers' Counselling Project funded by RBK and C.

In 2008 I graduated with a further qualification in individual Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (wpf Kensington and University of Roehampton)

After qualifying as a individual psychodynamic psychotherapist in 2003(wpf) I undertook a specialist Couple training and qualified as a couple psychotherapist in 2012 (Tavistock Relationships)

These trainings are both accredited by BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) and the BPC (British Psychoanalytic Council)

I work as a Visiting Couple therapist at Tavistock Relationships alongside individual and relationship work on private practice. I am also a member of a specialist Tavistock Relationships Mentalization Based Couple therapy team, which works with couples where there is high conflict and entrenched difficulties.
